Maturity is slightly earlier than average. WB6430 is moderately resistant to stripe rust. It is susceptible to FHB and may have higher levels of DON in areas where FHB is a concern. Certified Seed Only Variety
Awned; Idaho AES and USDA-ARS variety released in 2002, Alturas has average yield potential with average test weight. It also has an average Maturity. Alturas is adapted to both irrigated and dryland conditions. It is susceptible to FHB. Certified Seed Only Variety

Awned; Westbred released prior to 2014, in both irrigated and dryland production WB9668 has a slightly lower than average yield but has very high test weight and protein. It is slightly shorter than average and has an average heading date. WB9668 is very resistant to current races of strip rust, susceptible to FHB and very resistant to Cereal Cyst Nematodes. Certified Seed Only Variety
Awned; released by Idaho AES and USDA-ARS in 1998. Jefferson is most commonly used for dryland production as lodging potential under irrigation increases significantly. Dryland yields are above average with average test weight and slightly above average protein. Jefferson is susceptible to the current races of stripe rust, very susceptible to FHB, and resistant to Hessian Fly.
Hooded; 2 row forage barley; released by WestBred in1994, Vaquero has higher than average yield and test weight. Excellent stand-ability and acceptable protein. Good straw strength and tolerance to BYDV. Certified Seed Only Variety
Hooded; 2 row forage barley; released by MSU in 2021. Lavina is a cross between Haybet & Baronesse variety. It has a slightly higher forage production potential and much higher grain production potential than its predecessor, Haybet. Certified Seed Only Variety
Awned; 2 row; offered by Highland Specialty Grains. Altorado is a feed barley with very high yield potential; comparable to Champion in test weight, plant height, lodging, and disease resistance and has an average protein potential.
Awned; 2 row; offered by Highland Specialty, released in 1999 by Western Plant Breeders, Xena has average yield potential but in our seed production we have seen very high test weight potential, average protein with slightly higher than average potential for lodging at 35 inches tall. Certified Seed Only Variety
Awned; 6 row; released by Utah AES in 2005, higher than average yield and protein, lower than average test weight. In high production scenarios under sprinkler irrigation it may have potential to lodge at 30 inches. Goldeneye has a remarkable potential for forage production for silage when nurtured properly. Certified Seed Only Variety
Released by USDA, ID, OR, WA and MT ag experiment stations in 1984. Monida is a cross between Otana and Cayuse oats. It has good yield potential for forage and average yield potential for grain and can also be used as a cover crop. Typically grows to around 32 inches tall but can get taller particularly in higher, cooler elevations. It is susceptible to crown rust and prevalent races of stem rust. Commonly used for forage production.
